With a larger entry area and lighter spring tension than other road bike clipless pedals, the Shimano PD-RS500 makes clipping in easier and more accessible. Additionally, the adjustable release tension allows riders to customize the resistance for clipping in and out, ensuring a secure grip tailored to each rider’s preference.
Durable construction
Built to last, the Shimano PD-RS500 pedals feature a robust composite pedal body and a durable CroMo axle, reinforced by a heavy-duty stainless steel insert. This ensures high resistance to wear and tear while keeping the weight down to just 321 g per pair.
Optimal freedom of movement
The included cleats offer a freedom of movement of 2° for the clicked-in foot. This can optionally be adjusted to 0° or 6° to optimally adjust the mix of comfort and power (more freedom of movement = less power).
